Pink Clouds May Turn To Grey But Life Will Always Find A Way
The name was inspired by the Max Collins (Eve 6) and Pegboard Nerds song of the same name. The term itself refers to a period of intense euphoria and optimism that individuals experience in early sobriety, often after withdrawal symptoms subside. In the context of love, that’s exactly where these songs came from. 2014 – 2015 was a tumultuous two-year period of change in my personal life and these songs were my therapy.
Recorded live in one or two takes, this project was originally conceived as a songwriting exercise and showcase. I wanted the songs to be sparse and fragile in their own way. What became is an acoustic folk album full of love and heartbreak.
In 2016, I took the project on tour with Jo Stones but never finished the final mixing and track list. This is the final form and a constant reminder of how far I’ve come in life, love, and understanding.
